ONE, COME ALL TO THE ENTERTAINMENT OF THE CENTURY Saturday, September 27, at the historic Sterling North Childhood Home Historic Site "barn auditorium" A SINGULAR MIRACULOUS HAPPENING UNPRECEDENTED IN OUR HISTORY Doors open at 7 p.m.; trouble begins at 7:30 And for you early risers, there's been a matinee added. Show up at 1:30 p.m., and be prepared for the mayhem at 2 A musical troupe has been hired to bedazzle, but is unreliable. Elephants and giraffes and otters may attend, if any audience member knows any. Patrons may expect the best entertainment since Resurrection (they are welcome to expect anything they darn well please) Come see the kind of nicklelodeon show -- with flickering images of actual spinning reels of celluloid -- that "winked out" before you were born. Two movie classics of Sterling's childhood -- pristine prints of Charlie Chaplin's side-splitting, 1917 two-reeler ÔTHE ADVENTURERÕ and Doug Fairbank's swashbuckling, 1920 'MARK OF ZORRO' to be shown Refreshments will be served. Strange people will show up in 1920s costumes. A magnificent souvenir program will be provided to you, free of charge (an absolutely true offer, sans elephants). Film historian and collector extraordinaire Ken Regez will offer painless and humorous historical context. Literary critic and actor Mark Scarborough will charm with his erudite blather. Tickets are $10 for adults, $3 for children (age 5-11), $5 for students (age 11 to 25), and $8 for senior citizens.
