"Eating the Mediterranean Way"

The senior nutritionist at the University of Wisconsin’s hospital, clinics, and comprehensive cancer center, Madison’s Weihofen is the author of “The Cancer Survival Cookbook” and is an expert on how to make good meals (and how to make meals that are good for you). As a nationally known “nutrition magician,” she has taught medical staffers and rest of us how to use food to combat disease. Her other books include “Magic Spices,” “Mom’s Updated Recipe Box,” “Mom’s Updated Quick Meals Cookbook,” and “The Easy-to-Swallow & Easy-to-Chew Cookbook.” Weihofen, a lecturer in the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Nursing, does regular interviews on health and nutrition topics for WISC-TV 3, a CBS television station in Madison. For “Picture of Health Productions,” a UW Hospital-outreach cable television production, Weihofen has also served as presenter and “on-air talent.”
